People are different and the more reason why individual therapy is very personal. At New Beginnings Barrie, I understand that life can be overwhelming and that is why I take time to actively listen to my clients, during intake I intentionally note down what their therapy goals are, what they need assistance with and I let them know that they are not alone and that we can do it together. Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues clients face and they can learn coping strategies to help them both now and in the future.
In assisting my clients, I make use of different evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness. I also make use of an eclectic approach to suit your needs and together we can collaboratively work together to get you back to your normal.
