
Stella is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Counselling.
She has been active in the mental and sexual health sector for more than ten years, supporting diverse groups of people to live optimally despite their health challenges.
Her training in Psychotherapy and life experiences as an immigrant woman of color in the vibrant city of Toronto has prepared her to support individuals and couples experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, chronic illness, life transition, parenting issues, shame/guilt, childhood trauma, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Stella also works with LGBTQ+ folks and people living with HIV.
Stella approaches her work from an intersectional lens and recognizes the impact of gender, racism, faith, sexual orientation, and social status on identity and life experiences. She is client-centered and tailors her therapeutic intervention around the unique needs and assets of the client. Stella has been described by those who know her as a great listener, perceptive but not judgmental, focused yet warm and friendly, purposeful but flexible.
She desires to walk with her clients and support them to be the best version of themselves, empowered to pursue what matters most to them.
